
Director & Founder
Ehsan Jahani (E.J.) is a registered architect with the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA), with close to 20 years of academic and professional experience. He is a recipient of the prestigious UN-HABITAT Human Settlements Award and the winner of an international design competition in London, UK.
Ehsan also holds a Building Code Identification Number (BCIN) from the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing (MMAH). He has extensive experience working with municipal building departments and navigating complex planning and regulatory frameworks. He has successfully managed numerous Committee of Adjustment applications and worked with various Conservation Authorities, ensuring compliance with planning policies across different regions in Ontario.
Professionally, Ehsan has contributed to several major projects across Canada. These include the Crosstown Development in downtown Toronto, the design of over 700 residential units in three high-rise towers in Hamilton, and many other residential and institutional developments throughout Ontario. His diverse portfolio and proven track record have helped establish a strong reputation in the architectural industry.
Ehsan is the Founder of ASE+J Architect and Dexarchi Co-operative, two organizations established to both practice and advocate for architecture through innovative design, community engagement, and professional mentorship.
In addition to his professional practice, Ehsan is a part-time professor. Over the past decade, he has taught architecture-related courses—particularly in the Ontario Building Code (OBC)—at several academic institutions including Yorkville University, Seneca College, Georgian College, Sheridan College, and Conestoga College.
Ehsan also briefly served as co-chair of Becoming Architects Canada / Devenir architectes Canada (BAC-DAC), a national advocacy group supporting the architectural profession.
He actively mentors emerging professionals through initiatives supported by the York Region District School Board and JVS Toronto, and has been recognized for his meaningful contributions to professional development and community mentorship.
