Responsibilities
Tasks
- Analyze technical documents and reports
- Prepare working drawings & design development as per OBC
- Computer-aided design (CAD & Revit)
- Prepare presentation graphics and Construction drawings as per the updated OBC
- Site visits and measuring as-built condition
- Apply for a building permit, fill all forms and follow all guidelines in the city profiles,
- Stay on track to follow up on the permit and respond to revisions
- Coordinate with consultants (Structural, Mechanical, Sprinklr, etc. )
- Coordinate with Client time to time
Experience and specialization
Computer and technology knowledge
- AutoCAD- Advanced
- REVIT- Advanced
- MS Office & SketchUp
- Photoshop & Canva, Miro
- Other A. I have tools such as “ Claude” would be an asset
Architectural specialization
- Commercial and/or Residential
- Comfortable maneuvering and grab project-related data from Ontario Building Code -Part 9 -10 & 11- SB3- SB2-SB12-SB10
- Able to fulfill the OBC data matrix
- Familiarity & basic knowledge with site plans, zoning by-laws, and official plans, TRCA, LSRCA and other conservation authorities
- Knowledge of Ontario Fire Code & Be familiar with the AODA guideline
- Be familiar with wood construction, light steel gauge and other cold climate construction
