Basic architectural services usually mean a five-phased approach for the design and construction of a building . This service will usually result in the production of the “instruments of service” needed to obtain the required permits for construction, and will provide general/field review services to confirm that the building as constructed is consistent with the design. The phases described in the following list are the basic services for each phase. Note that “Pre-design” and “Post-construction” services are additional services and are therefore not included in the list .
